David W. Burley was a prolific artist and illustrator whose work featured prominently in railway advertising, especially for the Southern Railway and the Southern Region of British Rail. Among his most recognisable contributions are the iconic ‘HOVIS’ posters he produced for the Southern, spanning both the pre‑war and post‑war periods. Below are known examples of his work promoting Chessington Zoo & Circus. c.1930's  76 x 51cms (30 x 20 inches)
